The Port of Oakland has plans to invest in a renewed, smart and zero-emissions port as the seaport sets a record for containerised volume in 2021.
The investments aim to modernise and expand the Oakland International Airport so it’s convenient and safe, grow a seaport that supports the region’s economy with uncongested and transparent cargo drop offs, and provide more choices of entertainment and attractions at the Oakland waterfront.
Port of Oakland executive director Danny Wan said: “The theme for 2022 is to invest in and plan for a future that is not what used to be, but one that improves upon the past.
