Ukrainian authorities close Port of Odessa amidst Russian invasion

Ukrainian authorities have closed the Port of Odessa, which features the country’s largest container terminal, as the invasion by Russian troops gathers pace.

Maersk has decided not to call any ports in Ukraine and has stopped the acceptance of orders to and from Ukraine until further notice. Its services in Russia currently remain available but are potentially subject to change as things develop.

MSC, which has stopped accepting new bookings for cargo to and from Ukraine, is reviewing how best to manage cargo for transit to Ukraine that is currently lying at ports in the Black Sea and Mediterranean.
