International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) is continuing to expand the capacity of its flagship hub, Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), with the ongoing development of another berth – Berth 8.
The construction of the berth, which will be carried out in two phases, will enable the terminal to serve new-generation container vessels that can carry up to 18,000 teu.
Christian R. Gonzalez, ICTSI executive vice president, said: “The added capacity will allow us to stay ahead of demand and address the steadily increasing volume, a sure sign of economic recovery for our country.
