The Port of Savannah has ordered seven ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and 15 rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Konecranes as part of projects to expand operations and invest in new container handling capacity.
Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) has several projects underway that will add 1.7m teu of annual capacity to Savannah in a few months.
The order with Konecranes was booked in Q1 2022 and is the equipment manufacturer’s second largest order ever.
