Hapag-Lloyd, Eurogate and Contship Italia have founded a joint-venture, Damietta Alliance Container Terminal S.A.E, to develop and operate the Port of Damietta’s upcoming Terminal 2 facility.
Hapag-Lloyd Damietta GmbH will hold a 39% share in the terminal, with Eurogate Damietta GmbH and Contship Damietta Srl each holding 29.5%.
Two other partners, Middle East Logistics & Consultants Group and Ship & C.R.E.W. Egypt S.A.E, will each hold 1% of the remaining 2%.
