CMA CGM is launching an early container return incentive programme at the FMS terminal in Los Angeles and at all its return locations in Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City and Memphis, aiming to accelerate the return of empty containers.
According to the carrier, the scheme which begins on May 16 and continues until July 15, is projected to result in approximately 43,000 dry containers being put back into circulation within four days of pickup.
The programme will deliver US$300 per dry container returned to eligible locations within one to four days in order to help customers offset costs.
