Container throughput at the Port of Hamburg rose slightly in the first quarter of 2022 despite an especially high peak load at container terminals.
The Port of Hamburg has seen a rapid downturn in container traffic with Russian ports, although the repercussions of the sanctions against Russia effective from March have not yet become apparent in most handling segments.
