Exolgan Container Terminal installs ABB crane OCR with stowage location module

Exolgan Container Terminal has implemented ABB’s crane optical character recognition (OCR) with QuayPro module for all of its seven ship-to-shore (STS) cranes.

As a whole, the software automates identification of containers and confirms the final stowage location on the vessel.

QuayPro automatically tracks the location of containers discharged from and loaded to a vessel, aiming to significantly increase the accuracy of the bayplan/stowage plan occupied and empty locations message (BAPLIE) files.
