APM Terminals (APMT) eight European facilities are now all running on renewable electricity, resulting in an overall emission reduction of 52 kilotons of CO2.
This equals 9% of APMT’s overall emissions versus its baseline year of 2020 and is in line with the company’s ambitious target of achieving net zero emissions across its controlled terminals globally by 2040.
APMT began the process by first switching to green electricity in APMT Aarhus, Denmark, and the electricity is generated by using, for example, hydropower or wind & solar energy.
