The Ports in La Plata and Dock Sud can fully support container volumes and the flow of trade in the metropolitan areas of Greater Buenos Aires and Greater La Plata, according to a study by Argentina’s National Technological University (NTU).
Currently, the country’s containerised cargo is primarily facilitated in the city’s main port location at the city centre.
The terminal in La Plata is operated by TecPlata, a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), while the terminal in Dock Sud is run by Exolgan, which is a joint venture between PSA International and Terminal Investment Limited (TIL).
