Construction began in mid 2020, with operational permits obtained separately for each section, resulting in the 98.5m long quayside being put into service alongside two recently installed super post-Panamax cranes.
It is one of the largest investments by the port in decades, with the value having reached €45.6 (US$???).
With each new section being put into service as storage areas, the port has been able to considerably ease the pressure on storage areas it has faces due to increased cargo volumes.
