DCT Gdánsk has signed a contract for the construction of the third deep-water terminal known as T3, with works set to start in September.
The terminal operator signed the contract with a consortium of Budimex S.A. and Dredging International NV with the project to include a deep-water quay of 717 m long and 17.5 m deep as well as a 36.5 ha yard area.
Charles Baker, CEO of DCT Gdánsk, said: “The launch of the works for T3 will mark the beginning of a new era for container handling in the Baltic region.
