Modern Terminals’ new equipment contributes toward decarbonisation goals

Modern Terminals has taken delivery of two electric light goods vehicles and two electric forklifts in an important step towards achieving its decarbonisation goals under its Sustainability strategy.

The Asian container terminal operator aims to eliminate direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.

Horace Lo, group managing director of Modern Terminals Limited, said: “To achieve our 2030 goal, we have to identify appropriate equipment and different types of goods vehicles powered by cleaner energy that can meet our operational needs.
