Cavotec’s MoorMaster automated vacuum mooring technology has entered into service at the new 6 Wharf at Napier Port in New Zealand.
The berth’s MoorMaster system has completed Site Acceptance Testing and is now fully operational, having already been in use at the wharf to moor the 294 m long CMA CGM Marlin.
MoorMaster uses remote controlled automated vacuum pads to moor and release vessels in seconds and holds vessels in place, automatically compensating for swell and tidal effects.
