DP World handled 20.2m teu across its global portfolio of container terminals in the second quarter of 2022, an increase in gross container volumes by 3% year-on-year on a reported basis and 3.5% on a like-for-like basis.
The volume growth was driven by the port operator’s terminals in Asia Pacific, Americas and Australia, while its flagship Jebel Ali in the UAE increased volumes by 3.5% to 3.6m teu.
Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, group chairman and CEO of DP World, said: “We report another solid set of throughput figures with second quarter volume growth of 2.5%, which is once again ahead of industry growth of 2.6%.
