HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder completes AGV charging infrastructure
The final charging station for the electrified Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) at Hamburg Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA)’s Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) has been put into operation to total 18 stations.
Each housed in a 20 ft container, the fast-charging stations are distributed along the AGV area in groups at both ends and in the centre of the area.
The charging stations supply the AGVs with electricity generated by renewable energies, fully charging an AGV in one and a half hours which is sufficient for one day of operation.
