More than 560 port operatives and maintenance engineers at the Port of Liverpool have begun a two week strike from September 19 until October 3, due to a pay dispute.
Unite union members have rejected an 8.3% pay rise, with the union stating that it represents a pay cut as the RPI rate of inflation stands at 12.3%.
Workers also claim that employer MDHC has failed to honour a 2021 pay agreement.
