The NEXUS Agenda consortium, led by the Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority (APS), will receive an incentive of €59m (US$58m) as one of the winning projects under the Mobilizing Agendas for Business Innovation of the Recovery Resilience Plan (PRR).
NEXUS aims to promote the digital and ecological transition of the transport and logistics sector through the development of 28 new products and services with a high degree of innovation and differentiation.
These will include areas such as open data and AI applied to port operations, transport, and logistics, 5G, cybersecurity as well as predictive models and algorithms for the management of energy resources.
