DP World has begun to build a fourth berth at its UK-based London Gateway smart logistics hub, which will increase the facility’s capacity by a third upon completion in 2024.
The project represents an investment of £350m (US$400m) and builds upon DP World’s £2bn (US$2.3bn) investment in Britain over the last decade.
Ernst Schulze, UK chief executive of DP World, said: “I am delighted that we have taken the next step in delivery of the fourth berth and made clear our commitment to investing in and regenerating the areas where we operate.”
