DP World Marine Services adds UAE coastal service

P&O Maritime Logistics and Unifeeder have established a new route in the UAE using modified Multi-Carrying Vessels (MCVs) to help debottleneck customer supply chains.

By using a fleet of modified MCVs, the service is able to call smaller berths as the shallow draft vessels use less space and can access areas of ports where larger ships cannot fit.

Jesper Kristensen, group COO, marine services at DP World, said: “We’ve created this new coastal service to better support our customers in the UAE region and mitigate the rapidly increasing costs of trade.
