First test call successfully completed at new container terminal in the Port of Abidjan
Côte d’Ivoire Terminal, holder of the concession for the new container terminal at the Port of Abidjan, has successfully completed its first test port call.
The 50-hour exercise carried out on the MSC Floriana allowed for the evaluation of the unloading and loading operations on the ship using ship-to-shore (STS) gantries.
It also enabled the evaluation of the handling of the containers at the yard with rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes and Gaussin electric tractors.
