Port of Long Beach, the California Energy Commission (CEC) and Southern Calirfornia Edison are partnering on the project to put into daily service 25 human-operated vehicles that are zero- or near-zero emissions at three of the port’s marine terminals to test their performance.
Included within this was the retrofit of nine of SSA’s existing diesel-powered RTGs to run on electricity, with the last one having recently been completed.
