Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), Unilever and the German Food Bridge have partnered to bring urgently needed food to Ukraine for those affected by the war.
The German Food Bridge container left HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) in Hamburg on a train headed for Ukraine on December 7, carrying food provided by Unilever.
André Pilling, head of German Food Bridge and chairman of the German-Ukrainian chamber of commerce (AHK) said: “Ukraine needs our continued support in the face of the onset of winter, the damage done to energy infrastructure in larger parts of the country and the situation in the liberated areas, where the food supply chain can no longer be guaranteed due to destroyed supply chains.
