San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) has received two super post-Panamax ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and two rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, as it moves forward with its investment plan.
Representing an investment of US$23.5m, the equipment will increase annual throughput capacity at the terminal to 1.6m teu.
The cranes’ arrival means that STI will be the only terminal in Chile capable of handling two super post-Panamax vessels simultaneously.
