Tanger Med experiences volume growth in 2022

Container volumes at the Tanger Med Port Complex increased 6% year-on-year in 2022, surpassing 7.5m teu, thanks to high productivity levels over the past year.

A total 14,404 ships called at the port, including 961 ships of over 291 m in length, representing an increase of 32% compared to 2021.

The growth is mainly due to an increase in productivity of container terminals for the reception and processing of mega-ships, as well as the resumption of crossings for passenger traffic especially during the Marhaba 2022 campaign.
