The Port of Los Angeles (LA) handled 9.9m teu in 2022, marking the second highest year in the port’s 115-year history.
Although total throughput fell by 7% compared to 2021, last year also marked the 23rd consecutive year that the Port of LA has been ranked the busiest container port in the nation.
Speaking at his annual state of the port address, Port of LA executive director Gene Seroka said: “Over the past few years, as we’ve risen to each and every challenge, we have become a stronger, more resilient port.
