Attorney Anderson Pomini has been appointed CEO of the Santos Port Authority, as the port looks to clear legal hurdles required to complete infrastructure projects including the Santos-Guarujá tunnel and dredging to 17 m of draught.
The appointment coincides with the new Brazilian government reversing the previous plan to privatise the port authority, instead keeping the port as a state body.
Under the government of previous President Jair Bolsonaro, the ministry of infrastructure had followed a policy of privatising port authorities.
