Misurata Free Zone in Libya to work with HPC on STS crane procurement
Misurata Free Zone, the operator of Libya’s Port of Misurata has signed a contract with HPC Hamburg Port Consulting for procurement assistance and construction supervision of three ship-to-shore (STS) container gantry cranes.
Signed at the TOC Europe event in Rotterdam, it is hoped that the acquisition will boost the port’s competitiveness along the north coast of Africa, servicing Misurata city and its neighbouring regions.
The scope of the agreement includes the development of a comprehensive technical specification that incorporates international standards.
