Global Ports Group has relocated more than 25 units of heavy-duty port equipment from its North-Western terminals to Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) in the Far East of Russia, as trade patterns shift due to the Ukraine War.
In the first quarter of the year, the operator’s container volumes in its St Peterburg terminals, First Container Terminal and Petrolesport, plunged by 96% and 89% respectively.
However, the operator, which is part of Delo Group, has seen consistent growth of foreign trade container cargo flows in the Far Eastern marine basin.
