Fire, explosions, and toxic gas emissions are among the dangers posed by battery technology with the TT Club noting that there needs to be increased efforts to minimise the risks and, if necessary, make sure there is an effective response to any catastrophic event.
The freight insurer took part in a forum of interested parties held in London, where much was revealed by the speakers and a valuable debate ensued according to risk management director Peregrine Storrs-Fox.
