AD Ports Group has signed a 50-year concession agreement with Karachi Port Trust (KPH) and formed a joint venture with UAE-based Kaheel Terminals to manage, operate and develop the Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited (KGTL) at the Port of Karachi.
The joint venture will undertake significant investments in infrastructure and superstructure over the next 10 years at the facility located at berths 6-9 at Karachi Port’s East Wharf, with the bulk of it planned for 2026.
Syed Syedain Razai Zaidi, chairman of KPH, said: “This landmark agreement between AD Ports Group and KPT marks a significant milestone and holds big potential for the growth and development of Karachi Port.
