Konecranes has won a public tender from Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) to supply eight hybrid straddle carriers and two ship-to-shore (STS) cranes for a new container terminal in Copenhagen.
The existing container terminal in Copenhagen will move a few km to a better location in Ydre Nordhavn and is expected to be complete by 2025.
Povl Dolleris Røjkær Ungar, COO of CMP, said: “It will be a future-proof terminal that will service customers at a high level and ensure the best possible supply of goods and products to Zealand.”
