Combilift unveils new three-high straddle carrier with delivery to Australian customer

Combilift is set to deliver its first ever three-high straddle carrier to FBT Transwest, an Australian container transport and storage company, aiming to offer improved selectivity of containers in the yard while maintaining a low level of ground pressure.

The unit is set to leave the Irish company’s factory in early August, heading to FBT’s new facility in Sydney where the customer believes it will strike the right balance between storage density and accessibility.

At FBT’s storage facility, retrieving containers with minimal additional moves helps to boost productivity.
