PSA BDP signs MoU with Dow India to deploy electric trucks for container trucking in Nhava Sheva
PSA BDP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dow Chemical International (Dow India) to deploy electric trucks for import and export container trucking via PSA Mumbai in Nhava Sheva, Ameya and other terminals to Dow India’s facilities, starting in 2024.
PSA BDP has invested in a fleet of electric trucks from a leading electric vehicle producer in the region to be used for the initiative, which aims to create a zero emissions green corridor, as well as other collaborations.
These electric trucks can carry a fully loaded container up to 200 km, potentially reducing annual carbon emissions of over 300 tonnes compared to diesel.
