DP World expects to add 3m teu of new container handling capacity by the end of the year, taking its total gross capacity to 93.6m teu in its efforts to meet growing demand in key trade markets.
Expansions will be completed this year in Caucedo (Dominican Republic) increasing capacity by 1.2m teu, Yarimca (Turkey) by 579,000 teu, Sokhna (Egypt) by 500,000 teu and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) by 200,000 teu.
