Container volumes increased by 5% at Port Houston in July, as the Gulf Coast hub benefited from heightened demand for resin exports.
The port handled 344,163 teu last month and has handled over 2.2m teu in the first seven months of the year, representing a 1% drop compared to record volumes in 2022.
In July, loaded imports were up by 4% to 166,151 teu, while loaded exports jumped by 15% to 117,652 teu.
