AAPA appoints new president and CEO

The Board of Directors of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) has appointed Cary Davis as its next president and CEO, effective October 1, 2023.

Davis will take over from current president and CEO Chris Connor, who announced his departure earlier this year, after being unanimously recommended by the specially convened selection committee.

“We are living in an era of great disruption – economic, political, technological, and environmental – and our association serves as a beacon in the midst of the uncertainty,” Davis said. “Advancing the cause of America’s seaports, dynamic, and often underappreciated, economic assets, is the highest honour.”
