UK P&I Club and TT Club join initiative to reduce impact of cargo fires
Maritime insurers UK P&I Club and TT Club have signed up to Safetytech Accelerator’s Cargo Fire & Loss Innovation Initiative (CFLII), a multi-year collaborative technology acceleration programme focused on reducing cargo fires and loss in maritime and its impact.
The programme will help to speed up the uptake of technology and best practice by identifying specific opportunities where technology can make a difference and shaping joint requirements.
The CFLII will also identify technology solutions, undertake trials and develop best practices and recommendations, having already started working on a solution for early fire detection in cargo hold.
