First container vessel to leave Ukraine after blockade calls at Cagliari

Mediterranean Intermodal Terminal Operations (MITO) Terminal Cagliari has unloaded the first container ship to leave Ukraine for 18 months since the blockade of the Port of Odessa began.

After leaving Odessa and stopping over in Istanbul, the M/V Joseph Schulte arrived at the Grendi Group terminal, where over 2,100 containers were unloaded in about 48 hours to be stored at the yard.

Flying under the flag of Hong Kong, the vessel arrived on August 29 was the first vessel to use the temporary corridor for the delivery of civilian goods.
