The Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach and Shanghai, along with several leading shipping lines, have unveiled an implementation plan for a green corridor to accelerate emissions reductions on the trans-Pacific shipping route.
The plan is the first of its kind and was developed with support from C40 Cities as part of its effort to reduce carbon emissions from the largest cities in the world.
According to the partners, the plan will help in decarbonising global supply chains and transitioning towards zero lifecycle carbon emission ships.
