Cargo handling equipment manufacturer Combilift has marked its 25th anniversary with three new product launches, comprising a wind turbine blade handler, an autonomous guided forklift truck and a telematic software product.
The Combi-LC was designed at the company’s headquarters and manufacturing plant in Ireland in collaboration with Siemens Gamesa, allows for the movement of wind turbine blades and towers through production stages and on to storage locations.
This unit is designed to cater to the load handling demands of largescale offshore wind manufacturers, handling lengths of up to 115m and weights of about 70 tonnes, while offering multidirectional steering with six wheels.
