The shore power system at HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT) has successfully operated the COSCO Shipping Taurus vessel, proving itself in practice for the first time as part of an integration test.
The ship was charged with shore-side electricity during the test by HHLA, COSCO Shipping and other project partners HPA and Siemens.
The shore-side power station is located at the mega-ship berth where there are cables at the quayside to connect the container ship to the station.
