Hapag-Lloyd and Brazilian shipping and waterway logistics company Norsul have launched a new joint venture company set to offer container cabotage and feeder services in Brazilian ports.
The newly-formed Norcoast, which has already been incorporated, will be an independent company in the sector with operations expected to start in Q1 2024.
Andrés Kulka, Hapag-Lloyd’s senior managing director, region Latin America, said: “The Brazilian coastal transport sector is constantly growing and handled over 1.2m teu in 2022.
