GSBN signs MoU with DNV to enable verified data sharing for green claims

Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DNV, enabling verified data sharing for green claims in an effort to help the maritime sector provide accountability for decarbonisation investments.

Both companies will collaborate to conduct pilots with its existing shipping line members to connect verified shipment data from DNV, with the aim of issuing reliable and accountable green claims to end users backed by real granular data.

As the industry continues to undergo major changes, such as the EU ETS and various book and claim systems, trustworthy data at shipment level is important for customers to help the decarbonisation process.
