Brazil’s National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq) has approved the proposal for the temporary operation of the Port of Itajaí’s container terminal from Teconnave Terminal de Containeres de Navegantes, a shareholder in Portonave, which is owned by MSC’s terminal arm Terminal Investment Limited (TIL).

Previously, Antaq had vetoed the bids of the two highest bidders, claiming their proposals were unfeasible.
