Sami Niiranen appointed Kalmar president and proposed as new CEO of separate listed company
Cargotec’s board of directors has appointed Sami Niiranen as the president of Kalmar as of May 2024 at the latest, until which Cargotec’s current president and CEO Casimir Lindholm will hold his interim position as Kalmar president.
As part of the planned separation of Kalmar by partial demerger, Nirranen, who will also become a member of Cargotec’s leadership team, will be proposed as president and CEO of the standalone Kalmar company.
He has over 20 years’ experience in international business leadership, most recently in Epiroc leading the underground division, and held several different positions in Atlas Copco for more than 10 years prior to that.
