APM Terminals Callao receives environmental approval from Peruvian government to begin development works

Peru’s ministry of transport and communications (MTC) has given environmental authorisation to APM Terminals (APMT) Callao to start the next stage of development works at the North Multipurpose terminal.

Stage 3 of the project, which was approved by the MTC’s General Directorate of Environmental Affairs (DGAAM), includes the construction of a battery of vertical silos of free-flowing clean grains with a capacity of 60,000 tonnes.

There will also be two continuous grain unloaders, 2.13 ha of paving and significant improvements to the access gate for general cargo.
