Yilport Puerto Bolívar is set to receive four ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and one rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) crane from Mitsui E&S (MES), with arrival expected on November 29.
The terminal will now have six STS cranes, 18 RTGs and four mobile harbour cranes (MHCs) with a capacity of 1m teu.
Additionally, construction of Phase II of the terminal will increase the berth to 1,410 m, with 780 m dedicated to container vessels, and is due to be operational by February 2024.
