AD Ports Group and Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) have agreed to form a joint venture, aiming to enhance rail connectivity, maritime shipping services, development of port operations in Kazakhstan and to accelerate digital transformation and connectivity in Central Asia.
The joint venture, which is 51% owned by AD Ports and 49% by KTZ, will look to establish a regional logistics hub.
The pair hope to capitalise the Abu Dhabi-based company’s logistics and digital experience as well as KTZ’s knowledge of hopper wagons, port developments, and railway infrastructure expansion.
