The ports of Antwerp-Bruges and Houston have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several Belgian and US partners to develop an import-export coalition for renewable and low-carbon molecules, a green shipping corridor and the exchange of best practices, knowledge and research.
The Centre for Houston’s Future, Waterstofnet, Exmar and the Blue Sky Maritime Coalition are also part of the agreement, which aims to boost trans-Atlantic cooperation on the green transition.
Wim Dillen, international development manager at Port of Antwerp-Bruges, said: “This partnership is not only forming a bridge between continents, but is also fueling the greening of the two most important chemical clusters in the world.
